Small Farmers


Small farmers are back bone of sustainable agriculture. When we talk about the sustainable agriculture then we must work for diversify agriculture. Keeping agriculture free from industrial farming. Small farmers contribute a lot for sustainable agriculture. They keep the local agriculture crops safe from the industrial encroachment. Small farmers do the agriculture for the food and livelihood not for the return on investment. Most of profit of small farmer’s agriculture remains with in the community. Small farmers keep the soil healthy and they don’t drain the nutrients of soil by doing the agriculture for profit only. 


Small farming practices gives employment to the local community and keep the employment opportunity with in the community. Industrial agriculture depends on the huge application of agrochemicals, soil erosion, over exploration of natural resources. Which sustainable agriculture depends on hard word, knowledge, judicial uses of the natural resources, recharge of nutrients. Empowering small farmers with knowledge, technology, market access. platform for financial transaction will lead to sustainable agriculture and a better world. Around 92 % farmers are small farms they occupy only 24 % of total farming land. There is total 5,080,154 thousand Hectare agriculture land. 1,252,628 thousand Hectare land is under small farms. Industrial farming is polluting the natural resources and poisoning our whole food chain. It is not environment friendly. Small farmers can feed world in better way with sustainable agriculture practices.
